[FD#01] Formula Daily — Aug 23

My tasks and notes live in multiple good apps that have never once answered 'what does a specific month look like'

I can hear your pain, but my question to you is: when you ask, "What does March look like?" what kind of answer do you expect? What's your ideal scenario if the problem is solved? To me, it looks like we no longer need interfaces or dashboards, because these things serve only one purpose: to overwhelm us with things. No matter how many dashboards I built in the past, they all just make me feel guilty and confused. Maybe instead of the interfaces, we need to be able to ask that question and get an answer depending on what it is exactly we are looking for. I wonder if there could be an AI agent, for example, which would be connected to all our different tools and knowledge bases, and then it would give us answers depending on what we're looking for.

Automated knowledge map in Obsidian via Python

Capture is automated via a Python step that generates topic/entity links between ideas, rendering through Obsidian's native graph — not a manually laid-out canvas. Pipeline built backwards from output, not from capture. Still tightening link quality as the vault grows.

Anyone here using many apps for PKM?

Capture and processing are fundamentally different steps. Moved from Google Sheets + bulk import to a Slack agent that formats and links everything automatically — removed the inbox folder entirely. Still writes in Obsidian but the app almost doesn't matter as long as it supports .md files and has a readable interface.
