The Setup Phase Is Never the Problem
For me there's not much separation between commercial work, research, and life admin. But since I've historically used Jira for everything I need to do, a lot of practical stuff gets processed there through the ticket system, and the official things (life goals included) get crystallised in Confluence docs. So Obsidian ends up being two things: auto-logged conversations with AI agents, and a Zettelkasten for my research notes, which I started a few months ago and which is still fairly sparse.
What I dread about elaborate information architecture is the maintenance cost on already busy days. I'm genuinely curious how GTD in Obsidian or PARA hold up for people a year or two in: not the setup phase, but after the novelty wears off.
