How do we edit/maintain the skill.md files? For me there’s a difference between a skill and an action. Actions are big standalone sequences built for specific purposes; skills are core behaviours — like the note-taking logic behind my /note command — so they change far less often. Usually it’s a nagging feeling that builds until it’s annoying enough, then I open a dedicated terminal window and rewrite that skill properly.

The same distinction shows up in how I handle PKM. Capture is fundamentally different from actual processing. I’ve tried using Google Sheets and bulk import for a while, but now I have an agent I can just throw everything at in Slack. It formats and links things automatically. I’ve removed the inbox folder entirely — the agent handles it, so I can converse with my second brain instead of operating it. I still write in Obsidian, but the app almost doesn’t matter as long as the interface is understandable and supports .md files.

Different layer, same principle: know which part of the system you’re actually touching before you touch it.
